The venue of the tournament i.e. "Stadium Titiwangsa" located in Titiwangsa Lake, a popular recreational spot in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

DBKL "Hari Wilayah Persekutuan" Chess Open

A chess tourney known as "CATUR TERBUKA HARI WILAYAH PERSEKUTUAN DBKL" will be held this coming Sunday. The summary of the tournament is per below :

Date : Sunday, 21 March 2o10

Time : 8.30am to 6.00pm

Venue : Tasik Titiwangsa Closed Stadium, KL

Format : 6 Swiss Rounds of G/25 (25 minute time control)

Limited to the first 150 entries.

GiLoCatur believes that it is very refreshing to play near a lake like Titiwangsa Lake which is situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Even though the tournament venue is in a closed stadium, but players and participants can go nearby the lake in between the rounds. But to all parents with hyper kids like GiLoCatur, be careful and watchful. We don't want a tragedy to happen. Closely monitor and watch the kids.

For those who are not familiar where the venue is, check out the map below. The lake is basically near Jalan Tun Razak and the national library - PNM (Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia).
