IM Mas and FM Mok Leads Penang Heritage Open

Two of Malaysian Dresden Olympiad team members - IM Mas Hafizulhelmi and FM Mok Tze-Meng are leading the ongoing Penang Heritage Open. With 4 and 1/2 points, they are playing againts Ismail Ahmad and Loo Swee Leong, both the only 4 pointers, on the first and second board respectively in the sixth round.

IM Mas big win in the fifth round againts the top seed, a GM from Germany has put him as one the favourites to be the champion of the tournament. Meanwhile FM Mok defeated NM Ronnie Lim.

Update on IM MAS at 8th Asian Continental Open

IM Mas telah menang 2 dan tewas 2 pada empat pusingan berikutnya dari kemaskini terakhir pada 18 Mei lalu. Memasuki pusingan ke 10 pada petang ini, IM Mas telah berjaya mengumpul 4 mata. Beliau menang di pusingan ke 7 dan ke 8 kepada Haridas Pascua dari Filipina dan FM Jasem Alhuwar dari UAE. Beliau telah ditewaskan oleh IM Abdullah Hassan dari UAE dan GM Chakkravarthy Deepan dari India masing-masing di pusingan ke 6 dan ke 9.
